Odisha Sees Sharp COVID Spike: Total Count Inches Closer To 700, TPR 1.31%
Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 caseload in Odisha inched closer to 700 on Tuesday, touching 680 cases.
The state had seen 424 COVID positive cases on Monday, 424 cases on Sunday, 298 cases on Saturday, 228 cases on Friday, and 225 cases on Thursday.
According to the I & PR department, 397 of the new infections are from quarantine and 283 local contacts. Among them, 119 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Khurda reported the highest of 263 new cases followed by Sundargarh (69) and Cuttack (59). Five districts reported nil cases.

With these cases being detected from 51,745 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 1.31%.
While the affected tally has touched 10,56,660, Odisha now has 2,888 active cases.
