Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) has appointed Soumitra Chowdhury as a member of its Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC).
Chowdhury, who had represented Odisha in 13 Ranji Trophy matches, has been appointed in place of Asjit Jaiprakasham, OCA said in a press release.
The CAC now consists of three members – Kishore Mania, Chinmayananda Jena and Soumitra Chowdhury.
Chowdhury, who had played in 13 Ranji Trophy matches for Odisha, was an employee of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
The CAC takes major decisions of appointing coaches & members of selection committees of OCA.
OCA president Pranab Prakash Das and secretary Sanjay Behera and all other office bearers of OCA have congratulated Chowdhury for his appointment into the CAC.
