Odisha SRC Issues Advisory On Dense Fog In Next 3 Days

Bhubaneswar: With Met office forecasting dense fog conditions in several districts of the state, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) on Thursday issued an advisory on vehicular movement.

The SRC’s message to all district collectors and SPs stated that Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Kendrapada, Nayagarh, Bhadrak and Kandhamal districts are likely to witness dense fog conditions on December 11, 12 and 13 in the morning hours, according to the forecast of the India Meteorological Department.

The SRC advised the police and transport officials of these districts to take steps for controlled plying of vehicles on highways.

Since the visibility on the roads will be limited by the fog, the officers were told to remain alert to prevent accidents and loss of lives.
