Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) of Odisha has extended the deadline for submission of forms without a late fee for ex-regular candidates appearing in the Plus II exams to October 12 in view of the upcoming student union elections.
The deadline for submission for the annual Higher Secondary Examination was earlier scheduled to end on October 9.
According to a notification issued by Controller of Examinations Prasanta Kumar Parida, the decision was taken in view of the ensuing college elections and requests received from several higher secondary schools.
The extension applies to ex-regular candidates from the Arts, Commerce, Science and Vocational streams, including those enrolled in the Correspondence Course.
The CHSE has asked principals and heads of all higher secondary schools affiliated with CHSE Odisha to ensure that the examination form-filling process is completed within the revised deadline.
The notification also clarified that all other dates announced earlier for the examination form-filling process will remain unchanged.
The extension comes ahead of the statewide student union elections scheduled to be held across colleges and higher educational institutions in Odisha on October 15.
