Bhubaneswar: In a major boost to sustainable energy in Odisha, the Single Window Committee (SWC) of the state government’s Energy Department has approved investment proposals of Rs 1079.62 crore.
The proposals include a 30-MW ground-mounted solar project by GMR Kamalanga and 19.53-MW rooftop solar initiative by JSL which will transform the region’s solar energy capacity.
In hydroelectric power sector, the 63MW large hydro project by the state-run PSU Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd (OHPC) has been approved by the SWC at its meeting chaired by Vishal Kumar Dev, Principal Secretary, Energy department.
The fund is meant for setting up transformative green energy projects to achieve the NetZero target, a press release from the department stated.
