Bhubaneswar: With schools being closed amid a steep rise in COVID cases, the Odisha government has decided to conduct online classes for Classes I to VIII students on YouTube from Thursday, January 27.
The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has directed all District Education Officers (DEOs) to adopt necessary measures in this regard.
The online classes would be conducted five days a week from Monday to Friday.
For proper communication, WhatsApp groups of teachers and students concerned will be created class-wise. The links of live streaming will be shared in the group a day before, by 5 pm.
Steps will also be taken by district administrations in creating awareness at the community level for more participation in the online classes.

It may be recalled that in June 2021, the Odisha government started online classes on YouTube for students due to the COVID-19 second wave.
