Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to conduct another round of serological survey in Sambalpur, Rourkela, Berhampur, Puri and Bhubaneswar to find out the prevalence of antibodies against coronavirus.
The Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) is carrying out a serosurvey in rural Cuttack and it is expected to be completed by March 21.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Naba Kishore Das told the Odisha assembly that over Rs 479.90 crore was spent on the treatment of COVID-19 patients in dedicated facilities, which are being run in partnership with private players in the state.
Replying to a written question, Das told the Assembly that Rs 344.55 crore has been allotted to the private hospitals for the treatment of the patients.
The highest Rs 59.41 crore was spent by the KIMS-dedicated COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar followed by IMS and SUM-dedicated COVID hospital at Rs 58.59 crore.
A total of 30 government COVID hospitals and 33 dedicated facilities were set up in partnership with the private players, he added.
