Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre here has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershower in coastal Odisha and south coastal districts of Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada between November 11 and November 13.
The weather in other parts of the State will remain dry, the IMD bulletin said.
Director, IMD-Bhubaneswar, Dr H.R. Biswas said that there will not be much change in the night temperature, which will remain 2-3 below normal in the coastal districts and 3-5 degree below normal in the interior districts for the next two to three days.
“Due to cloudy sky and penetration of westerly winds, the temperature is likely to gradually rise again,” he said.
Biswas added that Bhubaneswar city will have a clear sky and the minimum temperature will drop to 17 degree Celsius, which is below normal, in the next 24 hours.
At 5.30 am on Sunday, the Odisha capital had recorded 18 degree Celsius and Cuttack was colder at 16.8 degree Celsius.
At least nine places recorded minimum temperature below 15 degrees in the past 24 hours with the lowest of 9.6 degree Celsius in Sonepur followed by Phulbani and Daringbadi at 10.5 degree Celsius each.
