Bhubaneswar: The winter chill is set to return to Odisha with Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre on Monday predicting a fall in the night temperature by 3-4°C over 2-3 days after 24 hours.
“No large change in minimum temperature during next 24 hours and fall by 3-4°C in subsequent 2 to 3 days at many places over the districts of Odisha,” the MeT office said in its midday bulletin.
The state has been witnessing a slight rise in the minimum temperature over the last few days after a nip in the air with mercury plummeting to 11°C during the fag end of October. The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack had also recorded below normal temperature.
Notably, Koraput recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13.2°C in the last 24 hours followed by Jharsuguda at 16.2°C.
The weather agency has also forecast light to moderate rain in some parts of the state for two days. Dry weather is likely to prevail across Odisha thereafter.
