Odisha To Get A World Class Museum Soon: Naveen
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated Kalinga Art Gallery and five Regional Art Galleries through virtual mode on Thursday.
Located on the premises of the State Museum, Kalinga Art Gallery is the largest in the state. The five Regional Art Galleries have been opened in Chhatrapur (Ganjam), Puri, Balasore, Sambalpur and Koraput under the initiative of Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi.
Speaking on the occasion, Naveen said a world-class museum complex will soon come up in the state and Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department has been asked to develop a comprehensive master plan for it.
“The Kalinga Art Gallery will be a power house of art and artists of the state. It will help art loving citizens and tourists to learn about our glorious artistic traditions,” he added.
Minister of Tourism, Odia Language, Literature & Culture, Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi, Development Commissioner PK Jena and president of Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi Sudarsan Patnaik also spoke.
Secretary to Chief Minister (5-T) VK Pandian moderated the programme.
