Bhubaneswar: As part of the Odisha government’s 5T initiative, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday announced that cash incentives will be given to selected doctors and staff of state-run hospitals for dedicated service.
The CM said 10 doctors and healthcare staff will be given the incentive as per the recommendation of a selection committee. While the doctors will receive an incentive of Rs 10 lakh, the selected staff will be awarded Rs 5 lakh.
While the regular doctors and staff selected for the incentive will be given a free foreign tour, the contractual doctors and staff will be sent abroad for training to further improve their skills.
The selected doctors and the staff will receive the cash incentive from the Chief Minister on the day of their retirement at a state level function.
