Bhubaneswar: As part of its regional outreach to promote tourism, the Odisha government has come out with three road trip packages between Kolkata and tourist destinations in the state.
The first trip, titled “Deep into the Mangroves”, is from Kolkata to Bhitarkanika via Bichitrapur mangrove sanctuary and Chandipur in Balasore district. The four-night and five-day trip will cover tourist destinations like Talasari beach and Chandpur’s receding beach in Balasore district, Aul palace and Bhitarkanika National Park in Kendrapada district, according to a TOI report.
The second trip, “Trail of Cascade-Keonjhar”, will take the tourists to the destinations in Keonjhar district. The 500-km (three-night and four-day) trip will cover Bhimkund waterfall, Gundichaghai, Kanjipani ghat, Sanaghagra waterfall and Badaghagra.
The third package, “Tiger trails and Royalty from Kolkata to Similipal”, will be of 470 km tour with a duration of three nights and four days. The tourists can visit Belgadia palace, the Similipal Tiger Reserve, the Sitakund waterfall and ecotourism zone, Barehipani (India’s second highest waterfall) and Nawana valley in Mayurbhanj district.
