Odisha: TPNODL & TPWODL Submit Power Tariff Proposal To OERC
Bhubaneswar: The TPNODL and TPWODL presented their Aggregate Revenue Requirement (ARR) proposals to Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) for for financial year 2022-23 at a hearing conducted on virtual mode on Friday.
In its ARR application, Tata Power Northern Odisha Ltd (TPNODL) has proposed its net revenue requirement of Rs 3022.08 crore and procurement of 5980.10 MU of power from GRIDCO. It has projected a sale of 4882.74 MU during the FY 2022-23.
The TPNODL has estimated LT sales at 2734.9 MU which is 56.01 % of the total sales. It has projected a distribution loss of 18.35% during the financial year against actual loss of 20.63%.
Total 13 objectors participated in the hearing and submitted their views.
Similarly, Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPWODL) has proposed in its ARR application the net revenue requirement of Rs 4219.01. It has proposed to procure 9000 MU of power from GRIDCO and projected a sale of 7110 MU during the financial year. It has estimated LT sales at 3510 MU which is 49.37% of the total sales.
TPWODL projected a distribution loss of 21% against actual loss of 25.07%. As many as 26 objectors participated in the hearing and submitted their views.
OERC has engaged Pune-based consumer counsel, WISE, to analyse the tariff application of both the discoms for the benefit of consumers.
The Commission has reserved order on both proposals and is likely to declare those in the last week of March. The order will be effective from April 1.
