Bhubaneswar: Universities in Odisha are gearing up to start classes for PG courses by November-end. The government will soon take a decision on whether the classes will be conducted online or offline.
According to sources in the Higher Education Department, universities have been asked to stay prepared to commence classes. The department has already allowed universities and degree colleges to start classes for undergraduate (UG) and PG students.
After assessing the situation, the department may ask the institutes to hold offline classes for PG first-year students.
According to Asoka Kumar Das, vice-chairman of Odisha State Higher Education Council (OSHEC), institutions are ready to commence classes whenever the higher education department asks them to.
