Bhubaneswar: Taking note of the inconvenience to the students in appearing for entrance tests on different dates for admission to postgraduate streams in different universities of Odisha, the state government has decided to conduct the entrance examination in all subjects on a specified date from the next academic session.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the vice-chancellors of the universities presided over by the Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahu here on Tuesday.
Briefing mediapersons after the meeting, the Minister said that the decision has been taken to facilitate the students to take admission in the postgraduate streams in any of the universities of their choice. “If a student clears the single entrance test, he/she will be eligible to take administration in any university of the state,” he added.
To ensure completion of PG admission process in time, it was decided that all Plus III colleges will announce the annual results by June 15, he added.
