Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Sunday apprehended Bijaya Kumar Barik, Inspector in Charge (IIC) of CRRI Police Station in Cuttack, while he was allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 40,000 from a licensed liquor vendor.
Vigilance sources said that Barik was nabbed at Rajmahal Chhak in Bhubaneswar while allegedly taking bribe from the liquor vendor. The money was demanded to allow the vendor to run his business without interference.
