Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials on Thursday unearthed huge assets, including two multi-storeyed buildings, two flats and five plots, during simultaneous raids at places linked to Bhubaneswar Chief Civil Supplies Officer Prashanta Kumar Gantayat.
During the ongoing searches, deposits over Rs 1.37 crore, gold over 500 gm, cash to the tune of Rs 1.21 lakh, one four-wheeler, along with other unaccounted assets have also been unearthed so far, Vigilance sources said.
During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Gantayat and his family members:
1. One triple-storeyed building under construction with an area of approx 4,800 sqft on Plot Nos. 1484 & 1485 at Pandara in Bhubaneswar estimated to Rs 83 lakh.
2. One double-storeyed building (VIM-192) at Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar.
3. An apartment at Neelachal City on Canal Road, Badagada, Laxmi Sagar in Bhubaneswar.
4. Another apartment at village Bhabanipur, Berhampur-II of Neelachal Heights.
5. Five plots, of which three plots are in the prime area of Bhubaneswar.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/flats/plots are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
6. Gold weighing 536 gms
7. Bank, insurance deposits of over Rs 1.37 crore
8. Cash Rs 1,21,960/-
9. 1 4-wheeler and 2 2-wheeler vehicles
The searches are still underway and a further report is awaited.
