Odisha Vigilance Unearths 2 Palatial Buildings, 15 Plots Of Revenue Official In DA Case

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials on Saturday carried out raids at different premises of a senior revenue assistant in Mayurbhanj district on the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Huge assets were unearthed during the simultaneous raids being conducted by Vigilance at five places of  Rama Chandra Sen, senior revenue assistant in the office of the Sub-Collector, Baripada.

The search operation is being conducted by an Additional SP, 5 DSPs, 7 Inspectors and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada at the following 5 places in Mayurbhanj district.

Two multi-storeyed buildings, 15 plots, bank & insurance deposits Rs.29 lakh, 3 four-wheelers, 5 two-wheelers along with other assets have been unearthed so far.

During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Sen and his family members :

1) A palatial triple storeyed building of area over 13277 Sqft. at Raghunathganj, Kuliana, Dist-Mayurbhanj.

2) A four storeyed building of area approx 4500 Sqft. at village Padhiaripur, Kuliana, Dist-Mayurbhanj.

3) 15 plots in prime area of Baripada Town, Kuliana, Samakhunta & Bangiriposi of Mayurbhanj district. Details are under;

i) A piece of land vide plot No.750/1730, Khata No.203/534 of area Ac 0.10 decimal at mouza Janardanpur, Baripada.

ii) A piece of land vide plot No.745, Khata No.203/508 of area Ac 0.32 decimal at mouza Janardanpur, Baripada.

iii)    Two plots vide plot No.750 & 769 of area Ac 0.10 decimal under Khata No.23/447 at mouza Janardanpur, Baripada.

iv) Two plots vide plot No.259/516 of area Ac 0.13 decimal & plot No.259/552 of area Ac. 0.05 decimal respectively under Khata No.77/24 Padhiaripur, Kuliana, Mayurbhanj.

v) A piece of land vide Plot No.61, Khata No.222 of area Ac 0.08 decimal, mouza Darkhuli, Kuliana, Mayurbhanj.

vi) A piece of land vide plot No.76, Khata No.36 of area Ac 0.13 decimal at mouza Padhiaripur, Kuliana, Mayurbhanj.

vii)   A piece of land vide plot No.76/568, Khata No.77/29 of area Ac 0.13 decimal at mouza Padhiaripur, Kuliana, Mayurbhanj.

viii)   A piece of land vide plot No.23, Khata No.77/69 of area Ac 0.47 decimal at mouza Padhiaripur, Kuliana, Mayurbhanj.

ix) A piece of land vide plot No.269, Khata No.59 of area Ac 0.32 decimal at mouza Dimapal, Kuliana, Mayurbhanj.

x) A piece of land vide Plot No.270/446, Khata No.94/130 of area Ac. 0.085 decimal, Mouza-Raghunathganj, Kuliana, Mayurbhanj.

xi) Two plots vide plot No.1291 of area Ac. 1.16 decimal, plot No.1294 of area Ac.1.35 decimal, Khata No.222/109, mouza Khairbani, Bangiriposi, Mayurbhanj.

xii)   A piece of land vide Plot No.64/251/255, Khata No.100/28 of area Ac 0.05 decimals, mouza Tellibilla, Samakhunta, Mayurbhanj.

The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above building/plots is being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.

4)     Bank & Insurance deposits Rs.29 Lakhs.

5)     3 four wheelers (Maruti Swift Dzire, Hyundai i-20, Maruti Echo).

6)     5 two wheelers.
