Odisha Weightlifter Hrudananda Das Bags Silver In Commonwealth Championships

Bhubaneswar: Another Odisha weightlifter fetched India a medal at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships in Ahmedabad.

The 18-year-old Hrudananda Das secured silver medal in the 88 kg category by lifting a total weight of 317 kg. Dhenkanal boy Hrudananda had won a silver and bronze at last year’s Commonwealth championships in Fiji.

Odisha’s female lifters earlier fetched the country 3 gold medals and a silver. Bhoi sisters Preetismita and Bidusmita, and Mina Santa claimed a gold each, and Sneha Soren bagged silver.
