Bhubaneswar: The state government has withdrawn Rs 300 crore from the Odisha Contingency Fund (OCF) to meet the land acquisition charges for the development of a heritage security zone around the Jagannath temple in Puri.
The development project has been undertaken as part of the ABADHA scheme during the 2019-20 fiscal year.
Regarding the withdrawal of the money, the state government has asked the Accountant General (A&E), Odisha to take necessary steps for the recoupment of the OCF advance in the books out of the supplementary provision and communicate to the Finance department for necessary action for reference and record.
