Bhubaneswar: The first COVID-19 patient of Odisha was discharged from Capital Hospital here on Friday after being fully cured of the disease.
Speaking to media later in the day, the 33-year-old urged people to stay at home and understand the importance of the lockdown to contain the spread of the virus.
He stressed the importance of a positive mindset to fight COVID-19.
He was diagnosed with the infection on March 15 after returning from Italy on March 12. He was then admitted to the isolation ward of the hospital in the city.
He said the doctors at the hospital helped him get over his initial fear and to develop a positive attitude, which took him on the path of recovery.
He expressed gratitude to the state government, which had announced to take care of all expenses of coronavirus patients.
