Bhubaneswar: After Odisha-born ace sprinter Dutee Chand and Senior IPS officer from Odisha Satya Narayan Pradhan, now Achyuta Samanta will occupy the hot seat in the TV game show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” (KBC) with Amitabh Bachchan.
The KBC episode featuring Samanta will be aired on November 15 (Friday). He will be seen fielding questions on the show alongside Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu.
Samanta is the founder of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS). He is also the MP from Odisha’s Kandhamal.
The episodes featuring Pradhan, Dutee and Samanta are part of KBC’s Karamveer series this season in which Amitabh Bachchan hosts people who have contributed to society in different ways.
The episode featuring Dutee Chand was aired on October 22.
Dutee is the only Indian to win a gold at the World University Games. She recently created a new national record of 11.22 seconds in Women’s 100 metres.
Satya Narayan Pradhan is currently serving as the Director General (DG) of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
