Odisha’s Amarda Included In Special Bid Under UDAN 4.1, May Be Functional Soon
Rasgovindpur: The Amarda Road Airstrip in Odisha’s Rasgovindpur has been included in special bid under UDAAN 4.1.
Pratap Sarangi, Union minister of state for Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries & MSME, Government of India, thanked his Union Cabinet colleague Hardeep Singh Puri for including the Rasgovindpur-Bhubaneswar route in the special bid on his request.
Sarangi, who is also the MP from Balasore, hoped that Amarda airstrip will soon be functional.
“Unfortunately due to pandemic conditions, no bidder came forward to operate air operations from Rasgovindpur. With normalcy in economic activities resuming, I am hopeful that very soon Amarda Airstrip will be functional,” Sarangi tweeted.
