Bhubaneswar: Now, visitors to the eco-retreat at Bhitarakanika National Park in Kendrapada district can enjoy their breakfast and lunch on a floating restaurant.
The Tourism Department will set up the restaurant in a pond at Nalitapatia village.
The tourists can also stay the night at luxurious cottages near the sea at Bhitarakanika eco-retreat.
The first eco-retreat will be organised at Daringbadi. People can get a chance to trek to Saraswati cave and visit Mandasura valley too.
Tourists can also explore the forest trail in Tikarpada Wildlife Sanctuary as well as take part in yoga and pranayam programmes there.
Besides Bhitarkanika, Hirakud will also host a eco-retreat with 25 premium Swiss cottage tents and an air-conditioned restaurant and bar for visitors. There will also be ropeway ride, a jungle safari, banana ride, jet ski and rifle shooting facilities in Debrigarh sanctuary.
Tourists can see 40 varieties of trees, 200 species of birds, 40 species of snakes, 42 species of fish, 85 species of butterflies, and 38 species of spiders in the jungle.
