Kendrapada: As many as 1,462 tourists visited Bhitarkanika National Park on Sunday, the first day after it reopened following a crocodile census.
Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and hundreds of BJP members also visited the park in Kendrapada district.
According to park sources, 524 tourists had come through the main gate of the National Park and the Dangamala entry point. Likewise, 578 tourists came in 68 boats, 280 tourists in 23 boats through Gupti route and 80 tourists in 10 boats through Chandabali route, said the sources.
