Bhubaneswar: A day after the state government announced total lockdown in four districts and Rourkela, Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) on Friday postponed its online final semester examinations till July 31.
According to a notice issued by the BPUT stated that the Online Exit Opportunity Final Semester Theory Open Book (Innovative & Outcome Based Education) Examinations: 2019-20 for MBA, B.Pharm, B.Tech, M.Sc (Integrated) and MBA (PT) courses have been postponed till July 31 due to the lockdown in Khurda, Ganjam, Cuttack and Jajpur districts and Rourkela Municipal Corporation.
Similarly, the registration for Online Exit Opportunity Final Semester Examinations: 2019-20 into these courses have been extended till July 31, the notice said.
It may be noted that the students had strongly opposed to the online final semester examination on various grounds and demanded its cancellation.
On July 8, the BPUT issued fresh guidelines for online final semester exams after an extraordinary meeting of the board of management.
