Odisha’s COVID-19 Tally Reaches 99 With 5 New Cases From Jajpur

Jajpur: The Jajpur administration on Saturday tweeted about five new COVID-19 cases being detected in the district.

The five men are aged 23, 49, 52, 39 and 57.  While four among them belong to Katikata area, the remaining one is a native Mohanty Patna village under Mallikapur panchayat. All five persons had travelled to Kolkata, the administration added.

Jajpur now has 17 positive cases and one among them have recovered from the infection.

With these fresh cases, Odisha’s affected tally has gone up to 99.

With one death and 34 having been cured of the disease, the number of active cases in the state now stands at 64.

Confirmation from the Health Department is awaited.
