Odisha’s COVID Tally Rises To 87 With Four More Cases From Jajpur

Bhubaneswar: Four more persons from Jajpur tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, taking the affected tally in the state to 87.

The I&PR Department in a tweet identified them as three women aged 48, 70 and 80 and a 21-year-old youth. “They are family members of earlier positive cases (West Bengal returnees). Contact tracing and follow-up action are being done,” it added.

With this, corona cases in Jajpur have up to 12. Only one patient in the district has recovered and  been discharged from hopsital.

According to the Heath Department website, the state now has 53 active cases with 33 patients having been fully cured of the disease. The virus has so far claimed one life.
