Berhampur: District Information and Public Relations Officer (DIPRO) of Gajapati has reportedly died of COVID-19 in a hospital in Bhubaneswar.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and one son who are presently staying at Khapuria in Cuttack.
According to family sources, the officer was undergoing treatment at Aswini Hospital in Bhubaneswar after he tested positive for coronavirus. He succumbed to the disease in the hospital, the sources added.
He had cardiac problem and had undergone surgery 20 years back, the sources said.
