Berhampur: With several states witnessing sudden surge in COVID-19 cases and Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik appealing to people to strictly follow COVID-19 restrictions, Ganjam district administration on Saturday issued a set of standard operating procedure (SOP).
In a letter the block-level officials and urban local bodies, district collector Vijay Amruta Kulange directed to ensure strict implementation of Covid appropriate behaviour to prevent resurgence of the disease.
He said the SOP must be implemented in crowed places including markets, religious institutions, public & private offices, transport services and roadside stalls. The government offices must ensure wearing of face mask by the employees, hand sanitisation at the entrance and social distancing, the SOP stated.
The SOP further said checking points will be set up in all blocks and ULBs for strict enforcement of use of masks with help of IICs of respective police stations.
