Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) on Friday approved 27 industrial projects worth Rs 6,134.52 crore.
The projects were approved at a meeting of the SLSWCA presided by chief secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena. Those would be executed in 10 districts and will generate employment opportunities for 42,275 people.
The projects cover different industrial sectors including downstream aluminium, infrastructure, food processing, renewable energy, plastic, apparel and textile, ferro alloys and IT.
Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd has proposed a hydro power project of 63 mw capacity with an investment of Rs 787.48 crore at Baliguda in Kandhamal district.
Premium Transmission Venture will invest Rs 555 crore in a plant for production of industrial transmission and renewable energy equipment in Khurda.
Texmaco Rail and Engineering will come up with a train bogey and coppler manufacturing unit with Rs 438.92 crore at Paradip.
SMEL Steel Structural Pvt Ltd has proposed an aluminium coil, flat rolled and battery foil unit at Rengali in Sambalpur with an investment of Rs 893 crore.
Magpet Polymer will invest Rs 175 crore to set up a unit for producing various plastic products in Khurda.
ITC Ltd will construct a 5-star Welcome Hotel at Sipasarubali in Puri with an investment of Rs 148.39 crore.
