Rourkela: Sundargarh district reported a record 78 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the affected tally in the district to 471.
Of these cases, 17 have travel history, 58 are contacts of previous positive cases, two COVID warriors working at BPUT, Rourkela, and one pregnant woman (who gave birth to a child at a COVID hospital), the district administration tweeted.
“Contact cases are from within containment zone and the rest areas from which positive cases have been identified will be declared as containment zones today. We request every one to take self precautions and stay at home,” the post added.

With one death and 185 recoveries, the district now has 285 active cases.
