Bhubaneswar: The state government on Friday appointed Sports Secretary Vishal Dev as the Secretary of Department of Odia Language, Literature and Culture.
The incumbent Secretary of Odia Language, Literature and Culture department, Manoranjan Panigrahy, an IRS officer, was relieved of the post after he completed five-year deputation, according to a notification of the General Administration department.
Dev will hold the additional charge of Odia Language, Literature and Culture department besides the Sports and Youth Affairs department. The 1996-batch IAS officer also holds the charge of Tourism Department as Commissioner-cum-Secretary.
