Mumbai: Actress Kiara Advani, who will be soon seen in the highly-anticipated Telugu political drama ‘Game Changer’ opposite Ram Charan, is being trolled for her lack of knowledge about South.
Ahead of the release of ‘Game Changer’, an old video clip from Rana Daggubati’s talk show ‘No 1 Yaari’ in which Kiara struggled to name south Indian states, has resurfaced and gone viral on social media platforms.
In the show, when Rana asked Kiara to name five south Indian states, the actress could only name Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
When the host asked, “Where did Tamil originate from?” Kiara paused and guessed Tamil Nadu, hesitantly.
Then, she struggled to answer where Malayalam is spoken and actor Ram Charan had to help her out with the answer.
“Right, right, Kerala. I was just about to say it,” she quipped when Ram gave out the answer.
The video clip from the episode, which was aired in 2023, went viral on Reddit recently and netizens started criticising the actress for her ignorance.
One user commented, “SoBo kids spend so much money on fancy schools and still lack basic knowledge. A child from a regular school could answer this easily.”
Another person wrote, “What do they even learn in expensive schools? Even a government school student would know this.”
Another posted, “It’s surprising that someone who travels so much doesn’t know such basic facts.”
