Bhubaneswar: Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation (OMFED) has reduced the prices of milk and various dairy products following the revision in Goods and Services Tax (GST) revision. The reduced price comes into effect from Monday.
As per the reduced rates, the price of a 500 ml UHT milk tetra pack has been cut by Rs two, bringing it down to Rs 37, while the one-litre pack will cost Rs 67 after a Rs three reduction.
Paneer has also become cheaper, with the 200 gram pack reduced by Rs 5 to Rs 75 and the 500 gm pack lowered by Rs 10 to Rs 180. The medium-fat paneer variant will now cost Rs 67 for 200 gm and Rs 160 for 500 gm after respective price cuts of Rs 3 and Rs 5.
Similarly, the price of 180 ml bottles of flavoured milk (both plastic and glass) is Rs 23 after being reduced by Rs two. Table butter will now cost Rs 57 for 100 gm and Rs 272 for 500 gm, after reductions of Rs 3 and Rs 18, respectively.
This apart, the price of ghee has also been reduced across different packs. The one-litre poly jar now costs Rs 665, cheaper by Rs 40. Prices of the 500 ml and 200 ml poly jars have been reduced by Rs 20 and Rs 10, making them Rs 340 and Rs 140, respectively. In tin packs, ghee will now be priced at Rs 150 (200 ml), Rs 345 (500 ml), and Rs 675 (1 litre) after reduction of Rs 10, Rs 25, and Rs 45 respectively.
Likewise, pouch packs of ghee will also be available at lower rates – Rs 130 for 200 ml, Rs 315 for 500 ml, and Rs 620 for one litre. The price of a 5-litre poly jar has been Reduced by Rs 220 to Rs 3,280.
