On New Year’s Eve, Sutapa Sikdar Pens Poignant Note For Late Husband Irrfan Khan

Mumbai: Irrfan Khan’s widow Sutapa Sikdar penned a poignant note on new year’s eve, saying it was difficult to call the year which is ending on Thursday as the “worst” as the actor was still by her side on December 31 last year.

Irrfan, who was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour in 2018, succumbed to the rare form of cancer on April 29 this year.

“It’s so difficult to wish 2020 as the worst year as you were still there. Last year this day next to me, gardening, busy building birds house how can I say goodbye to 2020!! Irrfan I have no idea how to welcome 2021!!” Sutapa posted on Facebook alongside some pictures with the late star, one of the most versatile Bollywood actors who featured in Hollywood films as well.

Sutapa and Irrfan both graduated from the National School of Drama. The couple has two sons — Babil and Ayaan.
