Berhampur: The Special Task Force of Odisha Crime Branch busted an illegal explosives godown at Rambha in Ganjam district and arrested one person, recently.
A huge cache of explosives, including 196 quintals of Ammonium Nitrate, 3200 gelatine sticks and 10,406 detonators, were seized during the raid at Gopalpur village under Rambha police limits in Ganjam district on Monday, a press note said.
The arrested has been identified as Saroj Kumar Pattanaik (35) alias Kuna. He has been booked for illegal possession/storage/trade of explosives.
The accused could not produce any valid authority/licence in support of the possession of such explosive, it added.
Further investigation in the matter is on.
