Rayagada: A head-on collision between two motorcycles claimed one life and left two others critically injured in Muniguda area of Odisha’s Rayagada district on Thursday morning.
The incident took place near Hukumtola square, a busy local junction.
According to sources, the three men from Rampur block in neighbouring Kalahandi district, had travelled to Rayagada to attend a wedding. After overnighting in the area, they were heading to the wedding venue when their motorcycle collided with another bike, which a local college student was riding. Locals rushed to their aid and admitted them to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Muniguda. While one man was declared brought dead, the other two have been shifted to Christian Hospital at Bissamcuttack. The youth on the other motorcycle escaped with minor injuries.
Police have reached the spot and begun an investigation.
