Keonjhar: A labourer died and seven others were critically injured after a borewell vehicle overturned at Kanjipani ghat under Banspal block in Keonjhar district on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Dharam Yadav, who died on the spot. All the injured persons were admitted to the Keonjhar district headquarters hospital.

According to sources, the victims belong to a Tamil Nadu-based company. The mishap took place at around 2.30 am, when they were on their way to a place to sink a well. The driver lost control over the speeding vehicle, which overturned near Kanjipani Ghat and fell into a deep gorge.
On being informed, police reached the spot and rescued the victims. Further investigation into the incident is on.
