One injured, two bikes damaged in Balangir car crash

Balangir: A person suffered critical injuries after a speeding car rammed into a roadside shop at Chatiapada Chhak under Saintala block in Balangir district on Wednesday.

Two motorcycles parked near the shop were completely damaged in the crash.

The driver, who was coming from Bhubaneswar, reportedly lost control over the vehicle following a brake failure/technical snag. Investigation is on to ascertain the exact reason behind the mishap, police sources said.

The injured person was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, the sources added.
