Rourkela: One person was killed and two others sustained critical injuries after a fire broke out in a sweet shop in Odisha’s Sundragrah district on Saturday.
According to reports, the fire broke out after a gas cylinder exploded inside the shop in Panposh area. The blaze engulfed the entire shop within minutes.
On getting information, a team of fire service personnel rushed to the spot and launched an operation to douse the flames.
While one person died in the incident, two others sustained serious injuries. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where their condition was stated to be critical. Further details are awaited.
A Police team also visited the site and launched an investigation into the incident, sources added.
