Berhampur: One person was killed and three others were injured in a clash between two groups in Aska block of Odisha’s Ganjam district on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Bulu Swain. The injured were rushed to Aska hospital, from where one person was shifted to Berhampur MKCG later.
Police said the clash was related to the panchayat polls held recently.
Ganjam district witnessed several incidents of violence ahead of the panchayat polls. At least six persons were injured when they were attacked by a rival group while on their way to file nomination papers in Ramachandrapur panchayat in January.
On January 18, violent clashes between two groups from Mundamarai village left three persons injured.
