Mumbai: Actor Vikrant Massey stunned his fans as he dropped a post on social media, announcing that he is taking a break from films “until time deems fit”.
Through an instagram post, the 37-year-old actor, known for films such as 12th Fail, Haseen Dillruba and The Sabarmati Report, said that 2025 will be his last year in the film industry.
“Hello, The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor. So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted!” he wrote.

Having established himself as a bankable actor in the last few years, Vikrant is currently working on two films – Yaar Jigri and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan.
He made his debut on television with the show Dhoom Machao Dhoom and rose to fame with Balika Vadhu in 2009. Konkona Sen Sharma’s directorial A Death in the Gunj got him the attention in the film industry. He featured in Chhapaak, Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi, Haseen Dillruba, Gaslight. His film 12th Fail, grossed nearly Rs 70 crore worldwide, emerging as last year’s biggest sleeper hit.
