Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw one more death due to COVID-19 and 53 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
The deceased is a 74-year-old man from Bhubaneswar. He was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension and Chronic Kidney Disease on Maintenance Hemodialysis, the Health and Family Welfare department tweeted on Friday.
With this, the death toll in the state has touched 1,924.
Of 53 new positive cases, 31 are from quarantine centres while 22 are local contacts. Sambalpur registered the highest of 11 cases followed by Sundargarh (7).
