Ganjam: A COVID-19 patient succumbed to the virus in Ganjam district on Saturday, taking Odisha’s death toll to 18.
The Health Department identified the deceased as a 68-year-old man who was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Ganjam district.
The deceased was suffering from comorbid conditions of hypertension and diabetes, the department added.
This was the ninth COVID-19 death reported in the district.
Besides Ganjam, four COVID-19 deaths were reported from Khurda, three from Cuttack and one each from Puri and Bargarh districts earlier.
