One More Tests Corona Positive In Bhubaneswar, 16 In Puri; Know The Details Of 67 New Cases
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday released details of 67 patients, who have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
Of the total 67 new COVID-19 cases, 60 have been detected in quarantine centres, 4 in home quarantine while three are local.
One case has been reported from Bhubaneswar. The person was in home quarantine, an I & PR department tweet said, adding that two more cases detected in Khurda district are Telangana returnees.
The highest of 16 cases have been reported from Puri district. Of them, 11 had recently returned from Surat, one from Tamil Nadu, three from West Bengal. The remaining one is a local case.
Sundargarh saw four news cases with two having travel history to Maharashtra and one each to Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.
Of the 13 cases reported from Nayagarh district, nine are Surat returnees and four from Andhra Pradesh.
The two cases reported from Malkangiri had travel history to Tamil Nadu and quarantined after returning to the state.
In Angul, one had recently returned from Tamil Nadu, two each from Maharashtra and Surat and a bus helper of a Maharashtra bus. All were in quarantine centre.
One case has been reported in Jagatsinghpur –a Gujarat returnee and in quarantine centre.
Kalahandi reported four cases. Of them, two are West Bengal returnees and the other two are local cases.
Nuapada district reported its maiden case of COVID-19, from a quarantine centre and the patient is a Maharashtra returnee.
Seven fresh cases have been reported from Ganjam district. Of them, six are the local cases and one from Surat.
Balangir district reported seven cases, of which, one is a returnee from Surat, three from Maharashtra, one each from Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and a Delhi returnee in home quarantine.
One case has been reported in Dhenkanal from a quarantine centre and the patient is a Surat returnee. Cuttack reported two cases – Gujarat returnees in quarantine centre.
With this, Odisha’s COVID-19 tally has now reached 1336. With seven deaths and 497 people having been cured, the state now has 832 active cases.
