New Delhi: Two jawans of the Territorial Army were abducted in Jammu and Kashmir, news agency ANI quoted sources as saying. However, one of the jawans later managed to come back. Sources later said the jawan who remained missing was found dead.

The two jawans were abducted in the forest area of Anantnag, ANI stated.

On October 5, two terrorists were killed as security forces foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara, news agency PTI quoted the Indian Army as saying.

“Two terrorists have been eliminated by the security forces in the ongoing operation,” the Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps said.

The Corps had earlier in a post on X said that a gun battle ensued when troops spotted suspicious activity in Kupwara’s Gugaldhar. The Army also said it discovered war-like stores from the encounter zone.
