OnePlus CEO Pete Lau on Monday addressed rumours surrounding foldable smart devices. He revealed that though the company had been considering foldable devices for a year now, he believes that they “don’t do anything notably different”. He also indicated that they didn’t have a device that would give the trademark “Never Settle” experience.
Lau, however, indicated that the company is building “smart displays” and they would be shaping devices such as the dated TV remote. This confirmed the arrival of OnePlus TVs.
He rejected rumors of OnePlus building a car, stating that it is too complex for them but they may build software or platforms for future cars.
