OnePlus on Tuesday unveiled the latest OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro globally. The event was done online because of the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
OnePlus has upped the prices with the new premium series. Here are the prices of OnePlus 8 series globally:
OnePlus 8 (8GB RAM + 128GB) – $699 (Rs 53,000)
OnePlus 8 (12GB RAM + 128GB) – $799 (Rs 60,000)
OnePlus 8 Pro (8GB RAM) – $899 (Rs 68,000)
OnePlus 8 Pro (12GB RAM) – $999 (Rs 75,000)
OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z earphones – $49.95 (Rs 3,800)
OnePlus 8 comes with a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR 10+ support, 3D corning gorilla glass, 90Hz refresh rate display, FHD+ resolution. The OnePlus 8 Pro has a larger 6.78-inch Fluid AMOLED display with 19.8:9 aspect ratio, HDR 10+ and QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
Both the phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC with Adreno 650 GPU.
OnePlus has increased the battery capacity in both its phones. The OnePlus 8 has a 4,300mAh battery, the Pro variant has a 4,510mAh battery. Both phones have Warp charge 30T (30W fast charging). The Pro variant is the first OnePlus phone to feature wireless charging (30W).
The OnePlus 8 has a triple camera – 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.75 aperture and 0.8 μm pixel size, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 116-degree field of view, 2-megapixel macro camera with 1.75 microns pixel size and f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor with f/2.45 aperture and fixed focus and EIS. Instead of the waterdrop notch, there is a dot on the screen for the camera.
The OnePlus 8 Pro packs an extra 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor that has an f/2.2 aperture and a 119.7-degree field of view. It also has an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and OIS. The 4th sensor is a 5-megapixel color filter sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
Both phones come with Android 10 and OxygenOS on top. They have dual stereo speakers with noise cancellation and Dolby Atmos. There’s in-display fingerprint sensor in both the phones.
The phones will be available on Amazon India. The launch dates have not been revealed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
