Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has rescheduled the online examination for Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) examination.
In a notification, the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) of the Higher Education Department said that the candidates, who have applied for D.El.Ed examination (to be conducted by Board of Secondary Education), can appear in the Bachelor of Education (BEd) and the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE or BPhEd) entrance examination (to be conducted by the Higher Education Department) on October 11 from 11.30 am to 1 pm instead of October 7 and 8 which was notified earlier.
The decision to reschedule the entrance examination was taken as the dates for D.El.Ed and BEd/BPhEd entrance examination clashed (October 7 and 8).
The D.El.Ed candidates are also required to produce their admit cards of the D.El.Ed entrance test failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the BEd/BPhEd entrance test.
The date for the online D.El.Ed entrance test will be notified soon, it further said.
As other candidates will appear in BEd/BPhEd entrance test as usual on October 7 and 8, the admit card issued for October 7 and 8 will remain valid for the same.
